Lasting memories, new experiences, and best friends are what makes PAL Camp so special. As a local leader in youth development since 1984, PAL Camp provides campers with inclusive, positive and enriching experiences that build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging that lasts long after camp has ended.
BASE CAMP PROGRAM
What is Base Camp program?
Our Base Camp program is developed around a unique yearly theme. The twice daily all camp activities follow this theme, with a few camp traditions thrown in. From water carnival and Records Day to Flashlight Tag and campfires, PAL's programming is designed to foster independence, life-long friendships, and of course, fun!
Campers have the opportunity to take on challenges and learn new skills through daily classes. We have classics like archery, riflery, boating, and arts and crafts, as well as rotating PAL originals like The Finer Things Club, cake decorating, and The Bear Grylls Challenge. With all that PAL has to offer, campers are sure to find something they fall in love with.
7TH GRADE PROGRAM
What do the 7th Graders do?
7th Grade Program is a themed week of fun especially for our oldest group of campers at Base Camp. During the week, our 7th graders learn about teamwork, compete to win points in a variety of games and challenges, and learn that being goofy is great.
We follow the camp theme, while throwing in some flair of our own. Some previous 7th Grade themes have included: The Hunger Games, Week at Hogwarts, etc.
7th Grade Program runs when the rest of Base Camp is taking concentration classes, and your seventh grade camper gets a one of a kind, unique experience every year.
8TH GRADE PROGRAM
What do the 8th Graders do?
A camper's experience beyond Base Camp is an adventurous one. In their final year as a camper, our eighth graders have officially flown the based and moved on to high-adventure camp.
8th Grade High Adventure Camp includes: overnight offsite hike, camp, and canoe trip, Sleeping Bear Dunes, 50’ high ropes course, zip line, paint ball, flying squirrel/giant swing, horseback riding, and more. Spots are limited.
