CABIN CRUSADERS

PAL Camp is your child's home away from home and our specialized staff is here to ensure that the week is a memorable one for your child - from their experiences on the lake to their block classes. However, after all the daily fun, they head back to their home away from home (their cabins!) to rest up for the next day. Each cabin is teamed with a Senior Counselor, a Junior Counselor, and a Counselor-in-Training to make sure that your camper is comfortable and safe. So who are these cabin crusaders and what do they do?

Senior & Junior Counselors

Counselors-in-Training (CIT)

The senior staff are experienced counselors from all walks of life. They volunteer a week of their time to make camp the best experience they can for the campers. These experienced counselors are the cabin leaders, here to guide and mentor our junior counselors to become the best counselors they can be.
The junior staff is one of your camper’s main sources of guidance and fun at camp! From teaching classes to helping the kids get creative and ready for themed dinners, your camper’s Junior Counselor will be there to organize and take part in all of the fun!
A CIT (or Counselor in training) is usually the newest and youngest additions to our cabin staff. They are fresh out of their own camp experience and most likely have graduated through the ranks of our PAL leadership team. They bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the table while shadowing and learning from our junior and senior staff members. Their role as third in command of their cabin, is usually highlighted by their energy and recent experience as a camper bringing a spark to their whole cabins staff while learning the ropes of what comes with the responsibility of being in a leadership role in one of our cabins.
