Counselors in Training
CITs, otherwise known as Counselors in Training are just that! They are learning how to be a counselor, learning the ropes with on-the-job training. They are responsible for assisting both senior and junior counselors and the camp program when and where necessary. Counselors in training do not have direct control or responsibility over campers. CITs are expected to participate in the camp program and learn the qualities of being a camp counselor through meetings and hands-on training. Because CITs are minors, they are considered campers by the state. All CITs are former campers who are actively involved in the PAL Leadership Team.
