8th Grade Director
World History Teacher. World Traveler. Cross Country & Track Coach.
Jason Hundey has been with PAL since 2007 leading the 8th Grade Program and will be your point of contact for all questions 8. Outside of PAL week, he leads our PAL Leadership Program.
We like our eighth graders. They are becoming freshman and will need set a positive tone for the rest of camp by displaying and showing responsibility, accountability, good sportsmanship, positive attitudes, as well as being open to new learning experiences. This also helps us determine their eligibility for the PAL LEADERSHIP TEAM.
We have to remember to respect the camp privileges so please talk to your child about proper respect to all PAL counselors, staff, and younger campers. For example, we share meals with the rest of camp; lets make sure we leave enough food for everybody else that is eating too.
At camp, we have cabins like everyone else. On our offsite camping trip,
each gender will have separate tents and will sleep at opposite ends of campsite, accompanied by 2-3 counselors for each tent.
Remember: This is camp, so please leave your best clothes/shoes at home - especially at 8th Grade camp where things get messy. Get the scoop on all things needed for the best week ever here.
